It’s coming up on a decade since Creed ceased to be a band, but in a recent interview, Scott Stapp has left the door ajar for a future reunion.

The last activity we saw from the band was the completion of a 2012 tour in support of their album Full Circle, which was released in 2009.

Creed singer Stapp has since been working on his own solo project, and was recently asked whether the band updating their Facebook photo with a classic picture was a sign that a reunion could once again be on the cards.

“For the longest time, there’s been nothing but positivity and support for each other with the guys and myself. And so anything is possible,” he told Californian radio station KLOS and its show Full Metal Jackie.

Obviously the Facebook picture sparked a spate of rumours among Creed fans, and Stapp said that if and when the time comes that there’ll be a more obvious announcement.

“If that time comes, I guarantee you, and you can be sure, that we will let the whole world know. Okay? But for now, though, I’m just looking forward to when it’s possible to get back on stage.”

Creed first firmed in Florida in 1994, releasing three studio albums My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999), and Weathered (2001) before first calling it quits in 2004.

They have sold over 53 million albums worldwide, saw three albums go multi-platinum while Human Clay went Diamond in the US.

In 2019 Creed reissued that album on vinyl, 20 years after it was first released. It has sold 20 million copies to date, and serves as one of the most memorable moments of the decade’s post-grunge scene.
