Ahead of their performances across the Antipodes next month, confirmation of the stellar performers that will be sharing the stage with The Script have been announced.

Joining The Script for all of their Australian show dates will be Irish acoustic trio The Original Rudeboys. The band has just completed a jaunt across Europe and the UK with The Script and impressed the boys so much that they were asked to appear as special guests on the Australian leg of their world tour.

‘Not to sound pretentious but we’re finally at the stage where we have the pick of the bunch of support acts for our tours, all the established artist etc. We chose The Original Rudeboys because they are a solid live act; they are also a brand new band and we want the world to see them.’ – The Script

A band on the rise, The Original Rudeboys’ debut album This Life reached #3 in the Irish album charts and is certified gold in their homeland. In the two short years since their formation, the band have performed to over 150,000 adoring fans, earning themselves 45,000 fans on Facebook and 30,000 followers on Twitter in the process.

Their YouTube videos broke them through to a wider global audience, having amassed over 3 million views and counting. 2013 is already shaping up to be the biggest year yet for bandmates Sean Arkins, Robert Burch and Sean Walsh. Join in the celebration as they play alongside The Script this April.

Also sharing the stage with The Script at their Australian performances will be Queensland singer-songwriter Sinead Burgess. The talented 22 year old already has a record deal to her name and some impressive and well-known supporters of her country-tinged pop music by her side. Burgess also performed with The Script at their sold out one-off show in Sydney last year and has returned in 2013 with a new single ‘Rearview Mirror’ in tow.

Co-written by esteemed songwriters Brian Lee (Carly Rae Jepson, Lady Gaga) and Stuart Crichton (Sugababes, Kylie Minogue), ‘Rearview Mirror’ is the public’s first taste of the sophisticated and refined pop music that Burgess has perfected. Those lucky enough to attend The Script’s Australian performances will get their first taste of what’s to come for this songstress as she opens the stage at each show.

New Zealanders will be treated to some homegrown talent as Brooke Duff joins The Script for their performance at Auckland’s Vector Arena. Since signing with NZ label Illegal Musik, Duff has gigged relentlessly across the country and perfected her songwriting to emerge in 2013 as a mature and well-rounded performer with a Top 10 single on the NZ charts, ‘Til The End’.

Be quick to grab the limited tickets that are remaining to The Script’s tour across Australia and New Zealand. With the addition of these incredibly talented acts to the line up, each performance will be a spectacular showcase of some of the best intelligent pop music that the industry has to offer.
