Seth Rogen has never shied away from his passion for dank kush. Now, the Pineapple Express actor has launched his own marijuana company, Houseplant.

House plant is launched in collaboration with Rogen’s longtime writing partner, Evan Goldberg.

Houseplant will be launching two strains of ganja, their first strain ‘Houseplant Sativa’, will make its debut in April. Two more strains, ‘Houseplant Hybrid’ and ‘Houseplant Indica’ will be released later on this year.

“Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication,” Rogen shared in a statement. “Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”

As well as producing actual weed, the company will be flogging a variety of weed-adjacent products. One of the more interesting products that will be available for purchase are weed-based LPs.

Rogen and co. will be releasing three full-length records based on three strains of weeds. The records will aim to emulate the moods one would feel under the influence of Sativa, Indica and hybrid strains.

“We made Houseplant LPs, each with a strain specific mix of songs,” Rogen shared via Instagram. “The Sativa LP is full of upbeat music, the Indica LP is super mellow, and the Hybrid LP is right in the middle.”

As of now, the company will only distribute in British Columbia. Though Entertainment Weekly has noted that there are plans to expand to other legal retailers across America.

Unfortunately for Australian Seth Rogen fans, there’s no chance of us tasting his pot endeavours any time soon. However, we do hope that we’ll get to experience the records on our preferred streaming services soon.
