Guitar icon Slash has given up all his vices and developed a serious Twitter habit, which happily is keeping fans informed of his current plans. At the moment, he’s spending this week auditioning vocalists for Velvet Revolver to replace Scott Weiland. Weiland left the band in 2008 to return to Stone Temple Pilots. Slash’s update has said ‘Fyi, VR is auditioning singers this week. Promises to be very interesting’. Rumours had been floating around that singer Myles Kennedy who appeared on Slash’s solo album and joined him on tour as vocalist, would replace Weiland, but this week’s announcement appears to have nixed that idea.
