Slash must have a new album coming out – he’s sucking up to Axl Rose. One of the infamous feuds in rock n’ roll history appears to have moved out of cryogenics and is now just at freezing level, with the Gunners axeman telling the New York Post that ‘It was the perfect Axl record — exactly what I would have expected from the final years of us working together, and seeing where he was headed musically. It’s very heavy; sort of a dark, depressing record. He’s f- – – ing phenomenal.’

Alas, Slash tells the paper that it’s ‘very doubtful’ that he and Axl will ever work together because Axl hates him so much but they ‘might’ have a conversation. Slash also uses the interview to slag off Cher as being ‘obnoxious’ and reveals that he is a bit of a Hunter S Thompson nut who tweets quotes by the author. Slash plays a solo show for MTV Classic at Melbourne’s Palace Theatre on the 28th of April. Read more of the interview here
