Slipknot is setting sail in 2020 on the first-ever Knotfest at Sea cruise, scheduled for the summer stretching from Aug. 10 – 14, in the year of 2020.

Titanic walked so Knotfest at Sea could run, in what is truly the most fascinating turn of events in the Slipknot schedule. The ship for Knotfest at Sea will depart from Barcelona, Spain as Slipknot expand their kraken-like tentacles across the entire world for domination.

The band are scheduled to perform twice aboard the cruise and have teased that a full lineup of performers, as well as the official list of onboard activities, are soon to be revealed. Tickets for the event start at the ever-so-generous $1,150, and more info can be located at the Knotfest at Sea website.

In a teaser clip seen below, percussionist Shawn Crahan (Clown) states, “Barcelona, a big ass ship and the sea. You, us — you’re not gonna want to miss it.” I mean, I’m sold.

This month has truly birthed a slew of unlikely mash-ups, though this is perhaps the most contradictory of them all. YouTuber Bill McClintock has, for some reason, merged the realms of Slipknot and Spice Girls together.

We thought that the only thing that these two acts would share is that vintage stores fleece us all by overcharging for their 90s merch apparel. However, this unlikely marriage between the two decade-defining acts surprisingly works quite well.

The mashup interpolates Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone track ‘Sulphur’ with Spice Girls iconic track ‘Wannabe’. We don’t want to speak too soon but we think that ‘slam your body down and “zigazig ah” might be the defining mosh pit call to arms. You can witness the mashup in all of its glory below.
