The Smashing Pumpkins have just announced a massive one-off show in celebration of the bands 30th anniversary. The show will take place on August 2nd in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Joining the band will be a plethora of special guests, including Courtney Love, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, The Killers’ David Keuning and Mark Stoermer, New Order bassist Peter Hook, AFI’s Davey Havok and Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath. Peter Hook’s son Jack Bates is the current touring bassist of Smashing Pumpkins, replacing original member D’Arcy Wretzky.

Last month The Smashing Pumpkins performed a raucous house show in Los Angeles. The ‘1979’ house show took place in the same location that the group filmed their iconic ‘1979’ film clip years ago. The show ended up getting shut down early due to noise complaints by neighbours. Check out the whole thing going down here.
