System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian hasn’t shied away from slamming Trump and now he’s hit the former president with his strongest criticism yet.
It’s no secret that the singer-songwriter is a pretty political bloke with some strong beliefs, so much so that he’s clashed with his System Of A Down bandmate John Dolmayan over them and caused the band to basically come to a halt until 2020.
Among the things Serj Tankian has criticised over the years, Trump has been one of Tankian’s targets and he hasn’t been shy to call out the former President over various issues.
But now Tankian has delivered arguably his strongest rebuke of Trump yet, which comes just as the former U.S. president has left the White House forever (to the joy of many).
In a scathing Facebook post, Tankian slammed Trump for granting Turkey legal rights over the religious cultural heritage of the region’s indigenous peoples and minority populations, Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriacs, Arameans, Maronites, Jews and Kurds.
Not only did Tankian take offence to this due to his Armenian background, this move was criticised by cultural rights groups.
“Thanks Trump. In your last minute you decided to grant Turkey my people’s indigenous cultural heritage including ancient churches and stone crosses as a reward for them trying to exterminate us,” wrote Tankian.

The SOAD frontman then saved his harshest words for last, signing off his message with: “Never seen a president suck so much cock.”
It’s perhaps safe to say that Tankian was one of the many who were stoked when Trump finally left the White House and Joe Biden was sworn in as the next President of the United States.
But hey, let’s try and look on the bright side here. Since Trump is now gone, maybe there will be less political disagreements between Tankian and Dolmayan, and SOAD can reach a place where they can make new music again. Here’s hoping that’s what happens.
