After the cancellation of the Soundwave Revolution Festival last week, punk, metal and hardcore fans finally have somethign to look forward to with the announcement by promoter AJ Maddah of new ‘mini-festivals’ which will have a number of the bands originally intended to play Soundwave Revolution performing. Naming them ‘Counter-Revolutions’, the shows for Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide have been announced, with 15 – 20 of the 60 bands booked for Soundwave Revolution playing these shows. Sydney and Perth Counter-Revolutions will be announced next week. These shows will also be in addition to headline shows to be announced by Whitechapel, The Word Alive, Skindred, Watain and Alter Bridge. A number of the Soundwave Revolution bands have been moved to Soundwave 2012.
