Stolen Property is an awesome track on The Triffids’ 1986 masterpiece Born Sandy Devotional, but it’s also an issue for a few Melbourne bands at the moment. Stealing gear from poor starving musicians is a crime up there with  murder, but sadly last week some junkies stole a heap of gear off the guys from the Last Gypsies and Thee Bonniwells. Details of all the stolen gear are below and if you see or hear anything please email us at [email protected].

Luckily, musos are always good at coming up with benefit gigs so the instrumentless musicians are having a benefit gig at the Grace Darling on Wednesday 28th April to try and raise some cash to buy some new gear. The lineup is a humdinger! Playing on the night so far are The Frowning Clouds, Last Gypsys (last ever gig – they mean it this time) and Thee Bonniwells + more acts to come. Tone Deaf is hearing rumours about some of the other bands that may be added to the bill and this one WILL sell out – get down early to support your local musicians. Doors open at the early time of 7pm.
