Stone Temple Pilots have announced their first-ever acoustic album, Perdida. The alt-rock legends are set to drop the album on February 7th.

“This is an album we’ve been wanting to make for quite some time,” bassist Robert DeLeo shared with Rolling Stone. “Most of our songs start acoustically and we felt these would come across in the most genuine way if we kept them that way.”

This marks the band’s second with new frontman, X Factor alumni Jeff Gutt. Gutt took on the role of frontman following the tragic loss of Chester Bennington.

“I was looking back at difficult moments in my life,” shared Gutt, who penned most of the lyrics. “I was trying to be vulnerable and that’s a scary thing to do, but it’s also kind of comfortable.”

In celebration of the release of the record, the band will be heading embarking on a North American tour. You can listen to the first single off the forthcoming record, ‘Fare Thee Well’, below.
