The triple-tracked vocals, the swirling layers of phased-out guitar, the interwoven melodies that orbit around your ears, the slinky guitar leads – is it just us or are Stonefield seriously channeling some early Tame Impala on new single ‘Changes’?

It’s certainly another step towards becoming a bona fide psych rock outfit for the sisterly outfit, who made their bones playing fuzzed-out retro-style rock and roll in the vein of Led Zeppelin, even belting out a mean cover of ‘Whole Lotta Love’.

‘Changes’ is a cut off the band’s eagerly anticipated sophomore album As Above, So Below, which is slated for release 15th July. According to vocalist Amy Findlay, the song is about the journey the band’s been on since starting the project.

“This song encapsulates that journey for us; that undeniable understanding that sometimes a change is needed from the very beginning, being able to embrace that change and everything it brings,” she said in a statement.

Stonefield will be hyping up the new release with a quick run of shows next month. Check out all the dates and ticketing details below.
