In news bound to spark an impromptu bout of arse waggling and effete mincing in silk shirts, Suede (who broke up in 2003) have announced that they are reforming for a one off show at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March.

The charity gig – part of a series in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust which are organised by The Who’s Roger Daltry  – doesn’t have a confirmed date yet. It also won’t feature Bernard Butler, who infamously quit the band on the eve of the release of the band’s second album, and who has gone on to success as a record producer for the likes of Black Kids and Duffy. His spot will be taken by his original replacement, Richard Oakes, who was a 17 year old schoolboy at the time.

Considering there was a direct correlation between Suede becoming increasingly crap and Bernard leaving, we’re hoping that any future reunion gigs will see him back in the fold and hope that Brett spanking his arse with a microphone doesn’t look silly now he’s on the wrong side of 40.
