Motorhead’s remaining members have reunited on stage over the weekend, with guitarist Phil Campbell making an appearance with Scorpions during their set at Rock Fest in Barcelona. Motorhead drummer, Mikkey Dee was enlisted to play with Scorpions back in 2016, just after the death of Lemmy Kilmister. Motorhead was bought to an unfortunate end following Kilmister’s passing.

Embodying the true spirit of rock, Campbell entered the stage, flipping the bird to the audience on both hands, before Scorpions singer Klaus Meine said they wanted to “pay tribute to Lemmy because the bands had shared the stage together so many times.”

The crowd imminently burst into applause, as the supergroup began to perform Motorhead’s classic ‘Overkill’.

Back in January Mikkey Dee discussed the possibility of Motorhead’s remaining members doing a slew of tribute shows in honour of“Fast” Eddie Clarke, Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, and Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister.

“There is a possibility of doing that when the time is right to do it,” Dee told Billboard. “If you love New York pizza and you haven’t had any New York pizza in several years, you’re going to crave that. One day there is maybe going to be a craving for something like this and when there is a craving for it, we have to do it in a proper way.”

Scorpions are set to make their way to Australia this November, alongside hair metal legends Def Leppard who will be playing their classic album Hysteria in full.
