If her latest studio moves tell us anything, SZA’s new record is gonna be a hit.

Following on from her recent collaboration with Justin Timberlake on ‘The Other Side’ (co-written by Sarah Aarons), R&B artist SZA has told Rolling Stone some more about her new music plans.

The singer, who has not released an album since her acclaimed debut CTRL in 2017, has been busy on the road and getting the next phase of her work together. Working with the likes of BROCKHAMPTON and Jack Antonoff, SZA told Rolling Stone that studio sessions with Sia and uber-producer Timbaland have taken shape awesomely.

While she confirmed that new music is on the way in 2020, whether or not it takes place as your traditional album is something SZA chose to keep up in the air. She’s more focused on bettering herself.

“I can always make music. It’s who I am,” she said.

“So if I started making fucking sculptures and decide to take up entomology, I’m still probably going to drop something. I am also getting to know myself. Because if I keep trying to regurgitate the same girl, y’all are going to hate that shit. And I don’t want that either.”
