I thought getting public transport to Sydney Olympic Park was dedication to the music. One impossibly determined 19-year-old kid from Arkansas has attempted to steal a plane to catch a Famous Dex concert, as COS reports.
On July 4, Zemarcius Scott jumped the fence at Texarkana Regional Airport with the intention of flying an American Eagle twin-engine jet to Chicago. Associate Press has reported that Scott has no training as a pilot and told investigators that he believed operating a plane would involve “little more than pushing buttons and pulling levers.”
Unfortunately, Scott’s plans were thwarted by security, he was picked up by monitors upon arrival. To his credit, he made it to the cockpit of the plane.
On Thursday, Scott pleaded guilty to attempted theft of property and commercial burglary. He has been sentenced to five years probation.
