Controversial rapper 6ix9ine has been taken into federal custody over racketeering and firearms charges, as TMZ reports. 

The rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez was arrested alongside four of his associates — former manager Shotti (Kifano Jordan), Ish (Jensel Butler), Crippy (Faheem Walter), and Fu Banga (Fuguan Lovick) as The New York Daily News notes.

All men are reportedly members of Bloods street gang ‘Nine Trey Blood’.

There are 17-indictments laid against the group that span from 2013 to this month. The group have been charged with distribution of heroin, fentanyl, MDMA and weed, alongside conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery. Hernandez is involved in several of the listed indictments.

The report published on Daily News has outlined the crimes Hernandez has been involved in, these include:

An incident on April 3: Hernandez, Jordan, Butler and Walter robbed rivals at gunpoint at 40th St. and 8th Ave.

An incident on July 16: An indictment for this incident states that Hernandez, Jordan, Butler and Walter conspired to kill “an individual who had shown disrespect to Nine Trey.” An innocent bystander was shot at Fulton St. and Utica Ave during the failed plan.

6ix9ine has been on probation since 2015 for numerous crimes, including a sex crime case involving a child, and a disorderly conduct charge from an altercation he had with a police officer. Hernandez is also facing assault charges after he allegedly choked a fan in a Houston mall.
