Woah! That was quick. It seems like only yesterday that everyone was congratulating the Temper Trap for selling out The John Curtin hotel in Melbourne with its 300 person capacity. In announcing a mid-year tour taking in significantly bigger venues in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane they were making a statement that they were thinking big.
It only took them four hours to sell out the 4,500 capacity Festival Hall and apparently, according to the press release, Sydney’s Horden Pavilion and Perth’s Metro are ‘selling fast’ as they say in the classics. It looks like they’ll be playing the Splendour In The Grass festival, what with no Brisvegas date yet announced, but it another show in Melbourne would definitely be on the cards.
Let’s hope the band enjoy the bigger venues, because they must be getting sick of playing the songs on Conditions after two years.
