Things appear to be heating up for fans of The 1975, with frontman Matty Healy teasing the release of something big in the coming days.
It’s ben almost a year since the release of The 1975’s latest album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, but fans are already looking forward to their upcoming forth record.
Titled Notes On A Conditional Form, the album is the second to be released as part of their ‘Music For Cars’ era, and has already seen the release of a pair of new songs, including ‘The 1975’ and ‘People’.
With the band recently wrapping up an Australian tour as they draw closer to the record’s February release date, it seems as though we might be receiving some new music in the very near future, with frontman Matty Healy teasing something coming in just a few days.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, Matty Healy shared a somewhat cryptic image with the caption “5 days” accompanying it.
Featuring a large number five in the corner, the picture includes an initialism of the band’s upcoming record, alongside the words “Music For Cars”, “The 1975”, and “Notes On A Conditional Form“.
In the left corner though, is a catalogue number which coincides with the band’s previous releases on the Dirty Hit record label. With the new album featuring the catalogue number of “DH00566” (as per its cover), this number of “DH00662” seems to indicate we’re gearing up to receive the latest single from the band in the coming days.

While we’ll have to wait and see what the new single sounds like, Aussie fans are already gearing up for the band’s return, with The 1975 set to headline the 2020 Laneway Festival. Kicking off in early February, we’ll be getting some pretty nifty previews of the new record ahead of its release on February 21st.
