The Bennies have well and truly returned to remind us of what it’s like to have a good time. Their highly anticipated new album, Wisdom Machine, is set to drop on 25th March, and they’ve just unveiled the LP’s second single, ‘Detroit Rock Ciggies’.

The music video for the tune (whose title is a cheeky spin on the KISS classic) was directed by Melbourne photographer Neal Walters and serves as a characteristically Bennies-ian take on Back To The Future. Think Doc Brown if he was a stoner instead of a genius scientist.

Wisdom Machine was recorded at Holes And Corners in South Melbourne with Sam Johnson and fans already got a sweet, sweet taste of it in the form of lead single ‘Party Machine’, which has been getting some major triple j rotation.

Still committed to their absolutely punishing tour schedule, the band’s latest tour kicks off this March and will see the boys hitting up some of their favourite venues in Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and more.

Check out the clip for ‘Detroit Rock Ciggies’ below and keep an eye out for a cameo from The Smith Street Band.
