With awards, sales in the millions, and armies of fans around the world, The Darkness are one of the world’s most respected and beloved bands and they’ve now announced a massive new Australian tour set to kick off this November.

The Darkness are back with a vengeance in 2015, unveiling their fourth album, Last of Our Kind, back in June and recruiting new drummer Rufus Taylor (son of Queen drummer Roger Taylor).

Last of Our Kind is a collection of 10 magnificent songs that The Darkness are extremely proud of. It is the best rock album you will hear this year. It is the best rock album you will hear until next time The Darkness makes an album. I should know. I’m the singer,” explains singer Justin Hawkins.

The band first rose to prominence back in 2003 with the release of their much lauded debut album, Permission to Land, which spawned the hit singles ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’, ‘Growing on Me’, and ‘Love is Only a Feeling’.

Acclaimed as one of the last of a dying breed of true rock bands, The Darkness have gained renown for their flamboyant and memorable live performances that recall the epic reaches of ’70s rock and roll and the big-haired excess of the ’80s.
