Australian fans have waited more than a decade for this one: The Early November and Hellogoodbye are finally heading back Down Under.
The Drive-Thru Records favourites will return in March 2027 for the Australian leg of their co-headline ’20 Years Young’ tour, celebrating the 20th anniversaries of two much-loved 2006 albums: The Early November’s The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path and Hellogoodbye’s Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!.
Presented by Destroy All Lines, the tour will begin at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday, March 17th, before heading to Brisbane’s The Met on Thursday, March 18th and wrapping up at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Friday, March 19th.
For The Early November, the tour marks more than a decade since the band last visited Australia. Their first trip came as part of Soundwave in 2013, before they returned in 2016 as main support for Mayday Parade.
“We can’t believe it’s been 10 years since our last tour in Australia! Our first trip down under was in 2013 at Soundwave, followed by a tour with Mayday Parade in 2016,” the band said.
“We are beyond excited to soak in the beautiful scenics, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate this special album. While we’re at it, we might as well play some TEN favourites, old and new. We are so grateful to be back!”
Released in 2006, The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path was an ambitious three-disc concept album, with each disc taking on a distinct sound while contributing to the same generational cycle-breaking storyline.

The record became The Early November’s highest-charting release, reaching No. 31 on the Billboard 200, and included one of the band’s most enduring tracks, “Decoration”.
Hellogoodbye will also be making their first Australian appearance in more than a decade, having last visited the country for Soundwave’s Counter Revolution in 2011.
The band’s debut album, Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, mixed synths, ukulele and pop-rock and became one of the defining releases of the mid-2000s Drive-Thru era.
Its breakout single, “Here (In Your Arms)”, reached No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Hellogoodbye have since released four studio albums while continuing to experiment across genres.
“Hellogoodbye has been missing Australia quite terribly — but no longer!” the band said.
“Excited to be triumphantly returning to celebrate our first album, Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, playing it in full plus favourites from over two decades of hgb!”
The Australian dates follow ’20 Years Young’ shows across North America and the UK.
