The Fauves are returning to the playing field with their tenth studio album Japanese Engines, out Friday November 11 through Shock Records.

To celebrate this milestone, The Fauves will be launching Japanese Engines at the Northcote Social Club that same evening, supported by Melbourne’s I, A Man and special guest.

The Fauves remain one of Australia’s most underrated bands, with their own brand of guitar pop featuring infinitely subtle wry, humourous lyrics. Releasing their debut EP in 1989 and following two years later with the Scissors Within EP and The Tight White Ballhugger EP in 1992, The Fauves quickly gained critical acclaim and a cult following. Further full-length releases and extensive touring led The Fauves to start experiencing the commercial recognition they deserved.
