Following a familiar case of diminishing returns on his more recent output, Evan Dando has decided to put the Lemonheads back together and drag them out on the road in Australia. The band will be following in the fashionable route of every indie band that hasn’t had a hit in a while and finds itself a bit long in the tooth, by playing their 1992 pop classic It’s A Shame About Ray. Much of the album was written in Australia, including a period when Dando was living upstairs at the legendary Tote Hotel in Melbourne, and the band at the time contained a number of Australian musos. Considering the album is only 30 minutes in length, they’ll be padding out the set with a number of other Lemonheads hits.
