Australian punk-pioneers The Living End are back and better than ever. The band that are constantly reinventing the wheel have just dropped a video for single ‘Otherside’. Proving that although over 20 years into their career, they’re still relevant as hell.
The new clip is compromised of live footage of the band performing to swathes of adoring fans and backstage antics. Their latest offering Wunderbar comes out this Friday, and this single is a delicious morsel of what is yet to come. Check it out below.
Watch: The Living End – Otherside
It’s an epic, meaty track filled with thrashing guitar hooks and one of the punchiest choruses we’ve heard in years. Frontman Chris Cheney has explored the meaning of the track in this statement,
“The repetitive guitar riff was something we kicked around in Melbourne but the bulk of the song was written in Berlin. Once we wrote the chorus it was immediately a standout track on the record. The message of ‘Otherside’ is simple, the grass isn’t greener. Walk your own path, don’t compare and don’t waste precious time wishing you had more. ”
