The Presets want you to stop listening to their music if you believe that Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran deserve the death penalty.
The dynamic dance duo have taken to social media over the weekend to air their thoughts on the impending execution of the two ring leaders of the Bali Nine, which has stirred quite a bit of inflamed commentary, as FasterLouder point out.
The post that started this Facebook fire was a rather innocent status that read “thinking of Andrew Chan & Myuran Sukumaran and their families right now” which saw a sea of comments from members of the public, some sharing the same compassion and concern as The Presets whilst many others arguing that Chan and Sukumaran must suffer the consequences.
The latter commentary got under The Presets’ skin, the band continuing to write on their social media account with posts like “compassionate people are way more interesting” before slamming down on the serious button to demand “if you believe in state sanctioned murder, are against compassion and think you are above making mistakes… please… unfollow us, delete all our music and stop listening to us altogether peace” going on to say if you agree with murder “you are a total cunt and can fuck off.”

As one can probably imagine, this caused a mass amount of uproar as the situation continued to expand, and after replying to endless amount comments on the Facebook thread, they closed with “IT’S MURDER PEOPLE. STAND TALL!!!”
This isn’t the first time The Presets have rallied for Chan and Sukumaran, with singer Julian Hamilton recently joining other Aussie musicians at a candle-lit vigil to support the pair on death row.
Reports via ABC have stated that Chan and Sukumaran may be executed via firing squad “any time after Wednesday morning” as their families desperately urge the Indonesia President for mercy.
