The Red Hot Summer Tour featuring Hunters & Collectors, The Living End, and more has been postponed

The Red Hot Summer Tour which was set to kick off in only a few months time, but has been postponed due to – you guessed it – coronavirus.

Because 2020 is the year that just keeps on delivering the bad things, The Red Hot Summer Tour has been postponed until 2022. Set to feature Hunters & Collectors, The Living End, The Angels, Killing Heidi, James Reyne, and more, it’ll now be a few years before we will see this tour come about.

We are disappointed to advise that the scheduled Red Hot Summer Tour dates this October in Kiama, Ballarat and the Barossa cannot proceed due to the ongoing Covid – 19 pandemic. The health and welfare of patrons, crew and the communities that the tour visits is of upmost importance. Good news is that all bands will join together in the summer of ’22 to play these three sold out shows. We hope you can keep your current ticket and join us on the new dates. Thank you for your ongoing support. Ticketmaster will be contacting all account holders in the coming days with your options, for those of you who are unable to make it on the new dates, information will given to you by Ticketmaster on how to apply for a full refund.

Promoter Duane McDonald has noted that everyone was very keen to see this tour happening in October, but it’s just not on the cards at this point in time.

“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions surrounding mass gatherings, we have made the heartbreaking decision not to proceed with the upcoming October dates,” he stated.

“The health and welfare of our patrons, artists, staff, and residents of the local areas are our number one priority. All artists have agreed to play the three shows in the summer of 2022, which we are very thankful for. Unfortunately, 2021 was not an option due to artist availabilities. All of these events are sold-out, and we hope that you choose to keep your ticket and join us on the new rescheduled dates.”

All Ticketmaster customers will be contacted shortly, and will have the option to either keep their ticket for the future dates of the tour, or be granted a full refund. If you purchased your ticket from other outlets, you are to contact your point of purchase for further details.
