Have you ever? Ever felt like this? If you answered with ‘When strange things happen, are you going round the twist?’, then congratulations, you are officially a ’90s kid who grew up in Australia.
Fellow ’90s kids and great Aussie band Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird have released a cover of the theme song from the iconic TV show (which technically started in the ’80s, but we can ignore that).
It may not be immediately recognisable, but once the opening lines are uttered any true ’90s kid will instantly recognise just where the track is going. The cover is something of a slow burner, with sparse drums, intertwining vocals and some pretty trippy guitar and synth work, all building up to a pretty incredible nostalgia-driven outro, which is no doubt sure to bring tears to the eyes of your inner child.
