The Saboteurs have announced that they will be releasing a new documentary and LP, Live At Electric Lady, this Friday.
The band shared a teaser trailer for the film through their label, Third Man Records, yesterday. The one-minute trailer suggests that the film will be comprised of performance footage, interviews, and a look behind-the-scenes at the band’s live show at Electric Lady. There’s also a neat little cameo from cult director Jim Jarmusch.
The film will arrive with a live LP recorded at the documented performance, set to be released exclusively through Spotify. If you’re a keen bean you can pre-save it now.
Live At Electric Lady is the seventh live release we’ve received from the Jack White-fronted band. Back in March, The Saboteurs unveiled Live In Tulsa — a triple LP.
The Saboteurs made their triumphant return after a near ten-year absence in late 2018 with brilliant tracks ‘Sunday Driver’ and ‘Now That You’re Gone’. Two tracks that featured on their third record, Help Us Stranger, that was released in June 2019.
Live At Electric Lady is set to premiere on Youtube this Friday, May 29th at 12AM AEST.
If you need live Jack White action to tide you over until tomorrow, country dreamboat Margo Price recently dropped a live album on Bandcamp, Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman, that features a live performance with Jack White of Thee White Stripes 2007 song ‘Honey, We Can’t Afford to Look This Cheap’.

It also features ebuillent covers of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Proud Mary,’ Merle Haggard’s ‘I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink’ and Willie Nelson’s ‘Whiskey River.’
