Julian Casablancas has announced that The Strokes have finished recording their long awaited new album, the first since 2006’s First Impressions of Earth. It still needs to be mixed, but as Casablancas wrote on Twitter last night, the recording has been completed and the band hope to have it out in the next few months. “[The album is] still not going to be out for a few months – mixing, etc,” Casblancas wrote. “But just finally finished it, yesterday actually.” The band began recording it in New York City with producer Joe Chiccarelli last February.
