Pop starlets The Veronicas have become the latest poster girls for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Following the path of a long line of celebrities who have stripped off to protest the wearing of fur, alas the girls haven’t repeated the photo which circulated on the internet several years ago of Jess Origlasso getting her kit off.

However, they’re posing in a pretty confronting photo shoot holding skinned rabbits, with the caption ‘Here’s the rest of your fur coat’. Part time topless model Jess said in a video of the making of the ad “Designers that still use fur to us it is just ignorant, it is unnecessary and it is unacceptable”. Although most of their remaining tweenie-bopper fans are more likely to be decked out in Supré clothing made by sweat shop workers in China, they want their 12 year old fans to think twice about using Daddy’s credit card to buy a fur coat. “We don’t want to be an ignorant generation, we want to inform people,” Jess squeaked.”We can be the generation that makes the difference.”
