The future of The Who – aka The Two because there are only two original members left – is in doubt after Pete Townshend revealed that he his tinnitus has returned.
He told Rolling Stone: “If my hearing is going to be a problem, we’re not delaying shows, we’re finished,I can’t really see any way around the issue.” The band are playing the UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust benefit at the Royal Albert Hall and he’ll be testing an in ear monitoring system. Notorious for playing some of the loudest amps ever set up on stage, it looks like all the noise is finally catching up with him.
