California alt-rock sweethearts The Wrecks recently unveiled their infectiously charming new sing, ‘I Want My Life Back Now’.

The single marks the first release we’ve heard from The Wrecks this year, and what a belter. If glimmery, alt-pop is your tonic of choice, you’re in for a real treat.

“Contrary to the suspiciously timely nature of the song’s title, ‘I Want My Life Back Now’ is not a Covid-19 cash-grab,” vocalist Nick Anderson shares. “Although, if you can imagine going through a break-up in the middle of an already devastatingly lonely global pandemic, this song might resonate a bit.”

To celebrate the release of ‘I Want My Life Back’, The Wrecks gave us a little tour of their dream Australian road trip. Pop on the track below and check out what they had to say.

Margaret River
Looks too good to be true. Heard it’s a great spot for wine and surfing, which is great because Aaron loves wine and Schmizz loves surfing. Nick doesn’t like to get his glasses wet, so we’d leave him behind.

The Great Barrier Reef
I feel like the Great Barrier Reef is a must-see. I think I can speak for everyone in the band that snorkelling and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef would be one of the most amazing experiences. Side-note from Nick: “I don’t like to get my glasses wet, and how the heck do I put on snorkelling goggles and still be able to see?? There must be more than water-based attractions.”

Central Coast
We’re really hoping our boys in The Million can take us to their favorite spots in the central coast area. Everyone needs a good tour-guide. I hear they love Bang Energy drinks, so I’m sure it would be an exciting hang.

Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Island looks like a dream. Would love to have some off time drinking margaritas on the beach there. (Nick: “GREAT! MORE WATER!!!”)

Australia, in general

Honestly, we can’t wait to tour in Australia. It’s been a dream of ours for some-time now. Hopefully we’re able to make it over there as soon as the world is back to normal. Nick: “If a band agrees to take us on tour in Australia, I will get my glasses so wet and I’ll love it.
