Were you excited to hear about psychedlic duo THEESatisfaction’s appearance at Melbourne Festival, but then bummed when you realised you couldn’t quite afford to make the trip down to the garden state?
Well your day is about to get better, as the duo have announced they will also perform a special once-off club show in Sydney this October, as well as their appearance at Melbourne Festival.
The band will perform the early show at Goodgod Small Club, on Friday 19th October. Tickets are available through Ticketscout for $39 and are on sale now.
Based in Seattle, Washington, Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White create their own distinct material: funk-psychedelic feminista sci-fi epics with the warmth and depthof Black Jazz and Sunday morning soul, frosted with icy raps that evoke equal parts Elaine Brown, Ursula Rucker and Q-Tip.
The duo released their debut album awE naturalE in 2011 and also featured on comrades Shabazz Palaces’ debut album Black Up.
