They might be one of the most prolific alt-rock groups of all time, but now They Might Be Giants are set to bring their critically-acclaimed live show back to Aussie shores next year.

Announced earlier today, They Might Be Giants are set to perform a six-date tour when they hit up Australia next February. Coming off the back of their most recent album, I Like Fun, it will be the group’s first visit to the country since 2015.

Of course, in true They Might Be Giants style, these shows are going to feature a bit of a twist, with fans in Sydney and Melbourne being treated to two shows each, with the first night showcasing their music of the 1980s and 2010s, and the second shining a light on their output from the 1990s and 2000s.

The band are set to perform two sets at their gigs, featuring some of the biggest hits, as well as “an ever-shifting rotation of fresh rarities spanning their epic career”. They Might Be Giants are reportedly working hard on their next album, My Murdered Remains, so we might even get a sneak peek of some new tunes by the time they pay us a visit.

The group also released a brand new video just last week as part of their Dial-A-Song series, with the animated clip for ‘The Communists Have The Music’ premiering online.

Tickets to these shows go on sale at 9am, on Friday, October 19th, with an early-bird sale kicking off on Wednesday, October 17th. Don’t miss out on your chance to see one of the most enigmatic and iconic groups of all time when they return to Australia next year!
