Why? Brisbane’s most exciting new night Pesci’s Clubnight is back for round two. To celebrate their return they’ve invited local favourites: hallucinogen- pop legends Morning Harvey and buzzy up and comers Bugs along for the ride. Entry is cheap and the music is good! What more can you ask for?

Kučka
Where? Shebeen, 36 Manchester Lane, Melbourn CBD
When? 8:00pm, Thursday 24th September
Why? One of this couture’s most exciting electronic acts Kučka is back in Melbourne this Thursday in celebration of the release of her impressive Unconditional EP. Following on from a string of killer singles, the seven track release weaves in and out of liquid soundscapes, R&B influenced beats and spacey production while being held together by Kučka’s striking vocals. Supported by Electric Sea Spider and DJ Susan, this is set to be one of the best shows of the week.

Why? Melbourne rock legends Child are about to head off on a maiden European tour, but they need a bit of extra cash to help get over there. In order to raise some more dose they’ve decided to throw a bit of a gig/ party/ fundraiser at Cherry this Saturday. With support from Sydney buddies AVER and Comacozer it’s set to be a gig you can’t miss. Catch the guys one last time before they head O/S.

BAD//DREEMS

Why? Fresh off the back of a 12 date tour of the UK, a new album and a sold out east coast tour of Australia, Adelaide legends BAD//DREEMS will be playing a very special hometown show supported by Sydney newcomers Green Buzzard (I OH YOU) this weekend at Fowlers. You won’t wanna miss this.

Erasers

Why? One of our favourite WA acts Erasers have been creating and releasing their own unique brand of swirling etherial psych for a few years, but it’s only now they’re releasing their debut LP. Titled Stem Together they’ll be launching the stunning record this Saturday at The Bird alongside special guests Rabbit Island MUDLARK.

Papa G & The Starcats

Why? Local funk heroes Papa G and The Star Cats are back with a brand new swag of tunes and to celebrate they’ll be bringing heir energetic live show to Ding Dong Lounge to launch their brand new live album. Unity Floors

Why? Garage rock two piece Unity Floors captured our attention back in 2013 with the release of their killer LP Exotic Goldfish Blues. Since the release of that LP the guys have been writing and gigging locally non-stop, and this Friday they’ll be doing just that. Alongside ‘sister act’ Abigail and Daisy they’ll be playing a free show at The Vic, head along and catch one of Sydney’s most talented quiet achievers.
