The successful applicant (who needs at least 2 years of publicity and PR experience) will be crafting unique campaigns for album releases (Vance Joy’s debut LP, anyone?), managing media schedules (“Hey, Northlane time for your interview!”), and generally talking up all the great talent on Unified’s roster. The Sydney-based record label and artist management company is seeking a music-loving, financially-minded member to join the team at their Redfern-based offices. This role is perfect for part-timers, working one to two days a week on the book-keeping, budget reporting and analysis for Future Classic. Given their growing roster of influential acts – like Flight Facilities, Wave Racer, and Touch Sensitive – expect a steady flow of work to keep you busy.

Taking up residence at the Sydney offices of one of music’s biggest record labels, this job is all about making sure their enormous pool of artists – from Bruce Springsteen to INXS and Wolfmother – are getting their dues, and making sure that the copyright terms of their songs and catalogue aren’t being misused. Supporting the Universal Music Publishing Group Copyright Manager, there’s a range of administration and tracking needed, but also the chance to liaise with clients worldwide over interesting legal work regarding counterclaims, catalogue use, publishing rights, and other copyright enquiries. Keen? You’ll basically be ensuring the Phoenix Street space continues hosting awesome music and culture events. It’s been hired out for music videos, videogame parties, as a nightclub, unique gig venue, and much more. The nitty-gritty means on-hands interaction with the bands you book, as well as their financial affairs, and working with Rubix’s marketing team and social networking to advertise and promote the gigs. Sounds cool to us.
