Thom Yorke is back with a solo project named ANIMA, and his interviews have just been getting better and better.
In a press tour in support of his brand new album ANIMA, Thom Yorke has stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about the inspirations behind his new music, luminous green onesies, the state of the world, and the power of dreams.
Now that ANIMA is out, Thom Yorke’s brand new solo project away from Radiohead, the world has been celebrating with rave reviews and pleasant amounts of praise. Because of the new project, we also get to see Thom Yorke doing rounds of interviews again, and he’s in his utmost jovial form lately, which is gorgeous to see.
In his brand new interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Thom Yorke was asked about a multitude of things spanning from the current state of the world, to how Radiohead predicted the catastrophic future back when they released their projects such as Hail to the Thief.

“For decades, you’ve been writing music that is uneasy and anxious in regards to society, our government, technology, the general direction of the world… how does it feel to be right?” asks Colbert in the interview.
“I guess I wasn’t thinking about the future,” answers Thom, “I was looking at what was happening at the time, it just seemed to get more obvious. It’s more overt now.”
They also discuss the power of dreams and a certain encounter Thom Yorke had for the first time ever with “luminous green onesies”. It really is something you have to see to fully understand.
