What a massive year the Gold Coast’s Tijuana Cartel are having. Their album tour kicked off in Cairns in September and they’ve already knocked over 11 shows in 11 days tour of Western Australia, took time out from their own headline tour to support legendary Kiwi beat masters Salmonella Dub on their tour and in the midst of all that were announced for Shine On and Peat’s Ridge festivals respectively. Phew.
Now they’re back on the headline trail promoting their album M1 – a journey from bass-heavy electro to rootsy chill out in the blink of an eye – which has already spawned radio single “Keep Off The Chemicals” (good touring advice if ever we’ve heard it).
