Country music star Tim McGraw has confronted hecklers are they booed him for forgetting the lyrics to one of his signature songs.

While performing in Reno, Nevada, McGraw appeared to forget the words to his 1997 track ‘Just to See You Smile’.

In footage obtained by TMZ, fans can be heard booing McGraw before he jumps into the crowd to confront them.

“Why are you doing that?” McGraw says in one of the clips, before ordering the fans to leave to laughs and applause.

Later on, he revealed to the audience that he was dealing with exhaustion.

“I don’t know how many of y’all know this, but we’re shooting a film, [Yellowstone prequel] 1883… Last week, we shot for 48 hours straight for two days,” he said.

“And we showed up to do a show for you guys tonight because we love you… If I forget words tonight, just know: I’m old, and I’m shooting a movie… So if I forget the words, sing along and help me out.”

This isn’t the first time McGraw has been involved in a spat while performing, as wife Faith Hill confronted a woman during their joint concert in 2007.

After the woman allegedly reached out to touch his privates, Hill responded by yelling, “somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend. You don’t go grabbin’ somebody else’s, somebody’s husband’s balls, you understand me? That’s very disrespectful.”
