Tommy Lee has taken to Instagram to criticise Travis Scott for “ripping off” his stage production. Lee’s complaints centre around two mechanisms featured in Travis’ Astroworld tour. Lee took issue with a 360° loop that Travis straps into, which resembles one used during Mötley Crüe’s between 2011 and 2015.
Taking to Instagram, Lee posted comparative footage of Travis Scott’s tour and a Mötley Crüe show. The post was captioned “Just found out this fucking idiot @travisscott or someone on his team ripped off the 360 AND The Crüecifly! WTF!! Get an original idea bro…”
Lee shared a second post that featured video of Scott riding a rollercoaster that vaguely resembles The Crüecifly. As well all know, Mötley Crüe invented the rollercoaster and Disneyland should prepare for the oncoming lawsuit.
Lee then proceeded to tweet Travis Scott, telling him to “lawyer up!”

Representatives for Travis Scott have released the following statement: “Tommy didn’t invent the concept of a roller coaster on stage and there’s no legal basis for his accusatory outburst. The actual creator and owner of the system has granted Travis all rights to use that equipment to complement his original stage design.”
As Complex notes, throughout the ’00s, blink-182’s Travis Barker played on a similiar device. Parkway Drive also utilize a similiar mechanism in their live performance.
