Xmas Party Feat. Money For Rope

On this very merry night, Tone Deaf & Ding Dong Lounge are hosting a Xmas party that will make waking up on Christmas one of the hardest days of the year. Things are gonna get rowdy at Dingers with mighty dual-drumming, 24-limbed rock ‘n’ roll favourites Money For Rope headlining the show, with support from The Demon Parade, Crooked Saint, and Honey Badgers. Later, the Midnight Run & Tone Deaf DJ crew will be spinning all your fave party jams to keep you shakin’ your booty until dawn. Here’s the lowdown:

Money For Rope have become one of the most played acts on Triple J Unearthed following the release of their debut self-titled LP in 2012, and are among the first Aussie artists invited to SXSW in 2014. Live, the six-piece transform audiences into a formidable dance force, with Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass and a coveted opening slot at Golden Plains already under their belt. Guaranteed to whet any appetite for soul-lathered ferocity, don’t miss the chance to say you knew them when.

Melbourne four-piece The Demon Parade are a groovy as hell retro flashback; channeling the tight harmonies the early ’60s Beatles and the freewheeling sense of fun of the late ’60s Beatles’ lysergic jams. Over the course of two EPs and several singles, they have racked up significant airplay including triple j, Rage and community radio, and played support slots for international tourists Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Bellrays.

Melbourne’s Crooked Saint heads to Dingers off the back of two Australian tours and two lengthy stints in California. He has independently released two EP’s and a double A-side, all to critical acclaim, triple j, commercial and widespread national community and ABC airplay. His candid delivery, tight arrangements, laconic phrasing and inherent melody has seen him support everyone from The Black Sorrows, Ian Moss, Sarah Mcleod and Tim Freedman through to Steve Kilby (The Church), Boom Crash Opera & Dragon.

Built from members of The Hondas, Master Gunfighters and The Euphoriacs; Honey Badgers are equal parts rock ‘n’ roll vigour, unapologetic emotion and infantile playfulness. Combining sickly sweet hooks, belligerent drums and guitar squalls, reminisce as they take you a journey of the true meaning of garage rock.

Once the bands have done their thang, the party kicks on with the Midnight Run & Tone Deaf DJ crew – including some very special Xmas guests –hitting the decks until the trams are running. There’ll also be some drink specials that won’t hurt the hip pocket to help spread the Christmas cheer.

This one is going to get rowdy folks.
