As per usual, triple j has spent the last week delivering some absolutely amazing tracks to your ears, with amazing Aussie acts getting plenty of spin, while sharing the spotlight with our international friends as well. With so many amazing artists and songs floating around the airwaves, it can be a little hard to keep track of what we’ve been listening to over the week.

20. Joyride
Joyride has been all over the airwaves for quite some time now, and you can expect that trend to continue when he drops his debut album in November. With his latest single, ‘6am’, doing the rounds, you can expect that we’ll be hearing plenty more of Joyride in the near future.
19. Ziggy Alberts
Ziggy Alberts has been kicking plenty of goals recently, performing a stunning Like A Version earlier this year, and gearing up to release Laps Around The Sun next month. With an Aussie tour on the way as well, there’s a very good reason you’ve been hearing plenty from this amazing musician.
18. Polish Club
It feels like only yesterday that Polish Club released their amazing debut, Alright Already, but it’s alright, because they’re already back with a new single. Releasing ‘Clarity’ earlier this month, the band have given us the first taste of their new record, and have scored the 13th most-played track on triple j this week.
17. Holy Holy
Acclaimed duo Holy Holy recently returned with their new single ‘Faces’, and triple j listeners are being reminded of why they love these two so much. With a new tour on the way in November, ‘Faces’ is this week’s ninth most-played track, and we’re bound to be hearing plenty more of it.
16. Thundamentals
Just a year after the release of Everyone We Know, Thundamentals are back with their latest record, I Love Songs. An album of love songs above all else, this record sees the group showing off their softer side, while never straying away from that stunning ability to captivate listeners at every turn. With ‘Everybody But You’ currently this week’s eighth most-played track, we reckon this album might end up on a few mixtapes for people’s crushes.

15. Anderson .Paak
Anderson .Paak has well and truly been delivering the goods this year. With his track ‘Bubblin” doing the rounds recently, he just dropped the Kendrick Lamar collab ‘Tints’, which is currently all over the airwaves. Another taste of Anderson .Paak’s upcoming album Oxnard, ‘Tints’ is the seventh most-played track this week.
14. Middle Kids
Middle Kids are still riding high off the success of their debut album, Lost Friends, earlier this year, but they’re already looking to the future, gearing up to release a new EP in the new year. With ‘Salt Eyes’, the title track, currently this week’s sixth most-played tune, you can be sure this one will be scoring plenty of airplay in the coming weeks.
13. Meg Mac
While Meg Mac’s debut album, Low Blows, was one of the biggest releases of 2017, she’s already back with a brand new tune, and a bit of a different sound. ‘Give Me My Name Back’ is currently the fifth most-played track this week, and you can be sure it’ll be at the top in no time.
12. Matt Corby
Matt Corby has been dropping singles left and right in anticipation of his new record, Rainbow Valley. Having released ‘No Ordinary Life’ recently, his latest track, ‘All That I See’, is currently the twelfth most-played track on the airwaves this week. Keep an eye out, because this one will be hanging around for a while.
11. San Cisco
San Cisco recently wrapped up a huge tour with Ball Park Music and Ruby Fields, with their devoted audiences busy screaming the words to their latest single back at them. Titled ‘When I Dream’, this single is on track to be a big one, having served as one of the most-played songs on the station in recent weeks.
10. Methyl Ethel
Methyl Ethel had a pretty stellar 2017, having scored the #4 on the Hottest 100, and receiving plenty of acclaim for the brilliance of their record, Everything Is Forgotten. Now, with the group back on the airwaves thanks to brilliant tracks like ‘Scream Whole’, they’ve currently got the fourth most-played track for this week.
9. Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey has revealed she’s got a new album coming next year, and she’s already teasing us with new singles. Titled Norman Fucking Rockwell, her sixth album is set to contain tracks like ‘Venice Bitch’, but it’s ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ currently winning fans over, serving as this week’s 14th most-played track.
8. Khalid
Khalid’s American Teen was only released back in 2017, but already the young muso is back in the game of new music. Releasing ‘Better’ back in September, Khalid dropped his latest EP, Suncity, recently and it’s been going wild. With ‘Better’ this week’s eleventh most-played track, you’ll be hearing plenty more from this amazing artist soon.
7. BROCKHAMPTON
BROCKHAMPTON released their new album, Iridescence, just a while back, and it’s an absolute belter. With the group having recently wrapped up an Aussie tour with a stunning Like A Version performance, listeners have been loving the vast amount of brilliant tunes this stunning collective have been offering up. Needless to say, there’s a good chance BROCKHAMPTON will be remaining one of the most vital hip-hop groups for quite some time.
6. Cub Sport
It feels like Cub Sport have hardly had anytime to put their feet up over the last year, but already these Brisbane musos are set to release a new album. With lead single ‘Sometimes’ the second most-played track this week, we’re eager as anything for 2019 to bring with it a new Cub Sport record.
5. Clea
Having been on the scene for a few years now, Brisbane’s Clea manages to keep on getting better and better. Having recently signed with New World Artists, Clea’s also released a brand-new single, ‘Dreaming’, which is getting plenty of spins on the station. Currently the most-played track on triple j, this tune is set to be one heck of an anthem in no time.
4. Bring Me The Horizon
Bring Me The Horizon are gearing up to release their new album, amo, in January, and fans have been loving their new tunes. Releasing ‘Mantra’ a while back, the group’s latest tune ‘Wonderful Life’ is the third most-played track on the station this week, and serves as a reminder of just how popular these English rockers are.
3. RÜFÜS DU SOL
Last week saw the newly-renamed RÜFÜS DU SOL release their third record, Solace, after months of anticipation. With the new collection recently scoring the role of triple j’s feature album, fans have had a chance to dive head-first into all of the classic tunes the band have on offer. With tracks like ‘Underwater’ and ‘No Place’ scoring plenty of love recently, ‘Treat You Better’ is this week’s tenth most-played track.
2. Nothing But Thieves
Nothing But Thieves might have wrapped up their Aussie tour a few months back, but fans are keeping the English rockers at the forefront of their minds. With ‘Forever & Ever More’ recently serving as one of the station’s most-played tracks, triple j listeners are keen to hear plenty more from this stunning quintet.
1. MØ
Four years on from the release of her debut album, MØ recently released Forever Neverland, and the wait was definitely worth it. Recently scoring the Feature Album treatment, this record has spawned plenty of amazing singles, like ‘Way Down’, ‘Imaginary Friend’, and the latest ‘Blur’.
We can’t predict the future, but we’re pretty certain the Hottest 100 for 2018 will feature at least one track by this amazing Danish muso.
