Next week, Tyler, the Creator will return to London for his first live performances in the UK since being banned in 2015. Today, in a new cover story interview for The Face, Tyler elaborates on his big plans for when he finally arrives, and they’re admirable at best. He won’t be popping by Harrod’s to feel some Chinchilla fur coats on the top levels, or swinging by the London Eye. That’s just not his style y’know.
When author Jeff Weiss asks what he’s most excited to do upon re-entering the UK, Tyler keeps his answer straightforward: “I’m gonna fuck some people.”
Though Tyler’s forthcoming two-night tenure at the O2 Academy, Brixton on September 16 and 17 will be his first British gigs in a while, he made his official return to the country back in May with the intent of performing a surprise IGOR set. Cops cancelled the gig after “rowdy” fans attempted to climb the gate outside Copeland Park’s Bussey Bulding in anticipation.

In recent news, Tyler also had his ban lifted in New Zealand recently.
It appears as though New Zealand had a change of heart as well, with the critically-successful musician set to appear in the country for the first time since 2012 next year.
As Stuff reports, Tyler, The Creator has now been listed on the lineup for the Bay Dreams festival, which takes place in both Nelson and Tauranga across two dates.
These shows will mark Tyler’s first-ever solo appearances in the country, having previously performed as part of Odd Future back in January 2012, after the group was booted from the Big Day Out lineup for their allegedly homophobic lyrics.
However, Immigration New Zealand has reportedly explained to Stuff that Tyler “is no longer deemed to be a potential threat to public order and the public interest” and that his visa is “currently being processed”.
