US rapper Tyler, The Creator has unveiled his next project, announcing the release of IGOR in just a matter of days.

Ever since he first hit the scene with Odd Future back in 2007, Tyler, The Creator has always been a bit of a divisive figure in the world of music.

With lyrics that are often dark, confronting, and equally introspective, the modern hip-hop icon has released five albums at a pace of one every two years, with 2017’s Flower Boy managing to top the ARIA charts in the process.

Now, the rapper has revealed he’s back with a brand new album, and we won’t be waiting too long before we hear it.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, Tyler, The Creator revealed that his sixth studio album will be titled IGOR, and is set to be released on May 17th.

The release of this new record comes after the musician released a number of standalone singles in 2018, including ‘Okra’, ‘435’, ‘Peach Fuzz’, and ‘Potato Salad’, with the latter being a collaboration with ASAP Rocky.

Although there’s no word as to whether these tracks might be released on the new album, we’re expecting to hear more about the tracklist in the coming days.

In related news, Tyler, The Creator recently contributed music to the 2018 remake of The Grinch, while his words of wisdom have also been made available on t-shirts.
