One of the best vocalists in Aussie hard-rock, Virginia Lillye, is set to appear onstage with rock royalty this week, taking to the stage alongside KISS’ Gene Simmons.

KISS bassist Gene Simmons is set to kick off his 2018 Australian tour in Adelaide on Tuesday, with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane scheduled for the rest of the week.

After having rescheduled these dates from April of this year, it was announced a few months back that the rock icon will be supported by none other than former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, announcing the news while speaking at his New York City appearance as part of his Vault Experience.

“Ace [Frehley] has been to three of these Vault events — Los Angeles and a few others,” Simmons said. “Ace by the way is going to be opening for the Gene Simmons Band when we do five shows in Australia.”

“He’s going to be using my back up band and we’re just going to have a great time. He’ll play ‘Ozone’ and lots of other crazy stuff.”

However, fans in Sydney are going to be getting a little bit extra bang for their buck on Friday night, with Virginia Lillye, the singer of Sydney hard-rockers Lillye, set to appear alongside Gene Simmons at his Enmore Theatre show on Friday night.

While it’s not known which song Virginia Lillye is going to be performing with Gene Simmons, the fact remains that as one of the most powerful vocalists on the Aussie music scene, Simmons is undoubtedly going to be blown away by the talent of our stunning local muso.

Sydney’s Lillye first formed a number of years ago, and have spent quite a lot of their time delivering their stunning rock spectacle to fans all over the country. Having signed to US label Eclipse Records last year, the group released their debut record, Evolve, in May of this year.

Needless to say, if you’re heading along to Gene Simmons’ Sydney show this week, you’re going to be in for one night you won’t soon forget.
