Vivid Sydney is set to return in 2021, the festival has unveiled the full music programme, drawing from the finest talent Australia has to offer.

Vivid Music 2021 will see more than 50 performances held in venues sprawled all over Sydney, including Hyde Park Barracks, The Calyx – Royal Botanic Garden, Luna Park, The Bearded Tit and Parliament House will all host a breadth of musical performances.

Luna Park is set to turn into transform into a lavish celebration of queer art and music courtesy of the party doyennes at Heaps Gay. The Heaps Gay: Kween’s Ball will see two stages host over 20 musical acts, featuring the likes of pop wunderkind Mia Rodriguez.

Carriageworks is set to host its seventh Vivid Music program, with performances from the likes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Akosia, Jesswar, Tropical Fuck Storm, BARKAA and Amy and the Sniffers.

Whilst Hyde Park Barracks will celebrate the sounds of :Latin America and the Caribbean with El Grana Mono vs The Inner West Disco Machine, a dance party set to pulsate with music from Sydney’s most beloved Reggae, Dancehall, Cumbia and Salsa Dura DJs, MCs, dancers and live acts.

Neo-soul innovator Ngaiire recently announced the arrival of her third album, 3. The Papua New Guinea-born singer-songwriter will be performing an intimate show at Parliament House. Eccentric New Zealand artist Connan Mockassin and Angie McMahon will perform a show at Bennelong Point.

“Vivid Music is remaking the rules of engagement and continues to push the boundaries, fostering diversity, discovery and celebrating Sydney’s nightlife on a world stage,” Vivid Music Curator Stephen Ferris said.
