Chance The Rapper got nostalgic in praising the ‘Juice’ megastar recently.

Sharing an old clip to Instagram, Chance let people know that Lizzo has always been out here doing her thing in music, whether it’s been shining on stage or behind the scenes. The video shows a young Lizzo interviewing Chance for a music publication called GreenRoom back in 2012, before Chance’s game changing Acid Rap record was released.

“#tbt anybody recognize the woman interviewing me??” he posted.

“Give you a hint we’re playing the same Houston festival in a couple weeks and have the same number of GRAMMYs. Guys, this video is so dope to see. It was 2012, a year before Acid Rap even dropped, and I was being interviewed for a small magazine in Minneapolis called GreenRoom, right after a small show I was playing.”

Praising Lizzo’s talent and work ethic, Chance was full of nothing but love for the singer who has been taking pop culture in general by storm.

“I remember it like it was yesterday and it was EIGHT years ago. Wow man. I’ve watched Lizzo work her ass off to become the biggest act in the world and it was nothing but her and her day 1 best friends’ hard work, and her own God given Talent. I am immensely proud of her and so inspired by her journey. Life is crazy. Tag someone you believe is one day gonna be a superstar.”

It didn’t take long for trolls to start getting involved in the comments, with Chance The Rapper swiftly blocking the negativity as he saw it come through.
