Over the weekend, Global Citizen: Mandela 100 took place. A concert held in South Africa to celebrate what would’ve been the late Nelson Mandela’s 100th Birthday. The celebration hosted a selection of music’s biggest names. Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Pharrell, Usher, Chris Martin and Eddie Vedder all performed.

During Eddie Vedder’s set, he played the Pearl Jam B-side “Long Road” – a song that was originally penned in memory of one of Vedder’s high school teachers, as COS notes. Before launching into the song, Vedder dedicated it to Mandela and “my brother Chris.” Vedder performed the track with the Soweto Gospel Choir. Check out the footage below (start from 6:02:00 for the Cornell tribute).
