They’ve gone through countless band members and the sibling songwriter and front man had a spectacular falling out which saw the band split in 2009, but there are already rumours going around about a reformation. Liam Gallagher is busy promoting his new band Beady Eye’s new album (which has turned out to be a lot less shit than everyone assumed), while his estranged brother Noel is working on a solo album.
However, punters are already placing bets on how long it will be before they kiss and make up to reform for megabucks. Former bass player Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs who quit the band in 1999 has now come out saying he’d come back and play with them if the gigs were held to raise money for charity. “I’d play with them for a charity gig, of course,” he told an interviewer.
“We never fell out. People thought we had a dramatic fall-out and a fight but we never. I saw them [Beady Eye] in Glasgow and Manchester and I think it’s the best I’ve heard Liam singing, ever,” he says. “He’s totally on form. Beady Eye are just going to get bigger and better.”
